All we have to do is convince Sir Rod or Neil Young to convert to S scale. They have entire bank vaults of moolah, enough to fund all kinds of new rolling stock. I don't know why we didn't think of this before!
Neil Young is a co-inventor on a number of patents assigned to Lionel (I found 19).? Here is an example of the only one I found with his name listed first.
He is also the sole inventor, or co-inventor on at least three other patents which are shown in the patent references.? Those three have himself as the assignee.
