Re: Layout Progress
Great to be making some headway! If I am reading the track plan correctly for where you have bridges on the "south" leg, it seems as though the grades might be steep? Would be great to understand

Re: Nimco wheels
Not sure exactly how many driver sizes NIMCO made, but besides the 1.25"/80" they also made a 1.125"/72" driver. I have attached pics them side by side. Unfortunately, I don't have any extra 80"

Bob, I don¡¯t like using the commercial ¡°sand¡±: it looks too much like snow. I have used a tan or buff N scale ballast which looks less garish. Roger Nulton Sent: Tuesday, December 17, 2024

Downs Tankcar Parts
Currently still resides with IRM owner Gregory Berndtson in a very dormant state. Probably little to no chance of getting parts - if any still exists. Thank You, Bill Lane Modeling the Mighty

Re: Downs Tankcar Parts
I believe the IRM line was put up for sale, but I don't believe there were any takers. I would have loved some of the LPG/LNG cars. Ken G [email protected]> wrote:

Re: Sandhouse
I was able to pick it up from a former club member who helped put out the kit--Potomac club I believe, so it's an original.? I added roofing paper, some weathering and other repairs--I've owned it

Bob, Was your kit put out by LVM or one of the others who offered this kit? John D

I have managed to scare up the two, attached images of the NS Sandhouse in Norfolk, VA. Looks like this is, indeed, the prototype for the model. John D

Sandhouse
A fairly old photo of my N&S sandhouse from the archives recently appeared.? For some years it just sat there and I've been known to move things around, so I mull over things for a long time.?
