David,
Thanks for the suggestion. I was leaning that way but just could not pull the trigger. They are much easier to make. The only real reason for not going that way was because the tender frame was already painted. But that is no big deal.?

Stay tuned.?

MIke, looking good. If I was using it just for switching, I'd do footboards for the pilot and the rear of the tender. Give your brakemen a ride so they don't need to walk all the time.

I did have a few more issues to work out of the mechanism for operation's. I have a DH 126 decoder in it and this decoder is amazing for 18 bucks on sale. It also has the plug for a current keeper. at this point, the locomotive doesn’t need it and I’m debating whether I want to put sound in it.

In this picture, the boiler, tender shell and cab are all just sitting there. I’m working out their locations and proportions. I’m really starting to like the way this thing looks. I also want to say that this locomotive is not really following any specific prototype, it is just all the things that I know from building specific prototypes that it needs to be acceptable. I’m really having fun just freelancing it.?

The BBB roadside booth, has been involved in the secondary retailing of S models for a couple or more years.? It's been fun but also tiring.? Then I have to deal with guys who are too specific (aka) fussy.? I'm also facing some body aches that aren't fun to deal with.? So I've decided to get three things on the road, then pack up and take a vacation till I can have fun again!?

So if you see anything shown in the past and you have the? cash, I'm still around, but will not put on new items on this list!

Thanks All

I can attest to the fact that AM steamers have the same size drivers on all of their steamers. We also have many of the part for the steamers, but some are getting low on what we have. Give a call on the parts you are looking for and we can help you out.?

Re: SHS SW 9 propusion issue

I had one that did this. Turned out to be a cracked universal gear on the drive shaft. I found a replacement from NWSL.

Looks great, Kim. Easy to tell it's S and not HO. As Brooks Stover often observes, S scale models photograph better than HO. Models in S have so much more "presence."

A few new things BBB!

Here are three more new items to make your layout complete, again at a great price!? These all seem to be new items even the hi-rail wheels for the DL&W car.? $82.00?

Also I still have some AF items that, with all the snow falling will give somebody or two some bodys to work on!? I've divided them into 2 groupings.? A couple of Ace bolsters and there are some trucks too.?

What I listed as Stocking Stuffer #1 consists of a ATSF red hopper, PRR gon, AF metal flat, B&M gon With Ace bolsters, 2 T&P gons, Marx gon and a Koppers tankcar with the newer AB brake system/? 8 cars total? $32.00

Stocking stuffer #2 has a Marx gon, PRR gon, black gon, depressed flat, boxcar with scratch floor Rex flat? 6 cars total? $30.00

I think you know the drill for the purchase of these items.? I decided to show the underbody of these AF cars so you can see somebody had good intentions about upgrading most of them.? Also one of the flats is a Rex flat while another is the depressed flat that has proven valuable to many.?

Hi All,
? ? ? ? ?Thought I'd share a shot of the #100 with you, Shes painted with Tamiya acrylics with the exemption of little dry brushing weathering with some Rub 'n Brush paint to bring out the detail in some parts.??

Re: American Models Steamers

Hi Andy --

I think you forgot about the American Models ATSF 4-8-4 which had 80" drivers like the real one (or something?close).? ?It was made in China and it is doubtful that any separate parts are available from AM, and of course, is?not relevant to the 63" driver discussion.?

Bill Winans
---------------------

Hi All,

I am not certain of this but I suspect that all AM steamers use the same diameter wheels, about 75".? That way the same tyres can be used.? To have them produce 63" drivers would require all new tooling.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Cheers,

Andy Malette
