Thanks guys,
I hope to be painting it soon now that it’s done. I do plane to make it my daily driver until then. I also may film the loco in action for a short on my YouTube channel.?

Re: NYC Tender needs TLC

Yes, since it came from Jettie I'm pretty sure it's NYC PT4.

Re: NYC Tender needs TLC

Thanks Bob.? I thought it was a NYC PT4 from the SWM Mohawk run. It still needs a new home.
First offer for $50.00 and postage takes it.

Fellow s scalers, this brass tender shell needs a chassis. If you have one, or if you have a project requiring a shell, let's talk, use Reply to Sender only please.

Golly Gee!? not in a million years! Big thanks

Bob....Great question!? That "thing" on the roof is actually a two sided number?board.? They were unique to the Sacramento Northern 44 tonners and the Tidewater Southern 70 tonners.? See attached pics.

Very beautiful paint on the GE's paint Bob, also the crosswise AC unit--was that unique to the WP or for GE's in particular?

This also brings up some observations on the time it takes SMMW, EastWest, PreSize and others kits to actually become 'semi 'commonly seen on S layouts.? Back in the days of runs of 300cars X 12(schemes) from SHS/SSA/AM's RTR? cars/engines it would be a matter of a day or two.? Now the pipeline seems so much slower getting unto the mainline.?

I'm certainly guilty as my FM switcher is at an impasse at 50% completion and my ribbed boxcar is at 90%? waiting on the paint shop!? Whoops, our weather had been great but now garage and yard cleanup will be taking over starting this PM!

?completed GE 70 tonner #201 (one of two on the SN) and the nearly completed 44 Tonner (Phase 1) #147.? This was the only Phase 1 on the SN roster and was built for the Napa Valley in 1942 (jointly owned by SN parent Western Pacific).? SN numbers 141-146 were the later post war 44 tonners.? I still need to add cab shades (HOT in the Sacramento Valley summer sun) and am awaiting the arrival of NWSL Stanton Drives.? Thanks to Jim for producing the very nice resin castings for both of these models.

Micro Engineering code 83 flex

开云体育

I did our ZOOM with Micro Engineering this morning. There is not going to be a firm "available date" for the initial run of code 83 flex track. They only need a small amount of first orders to justify a mold switch on one of their molding machines. They have had their best sales months ever this year and are shipping what they can make right out the door. So get your orders in and get the process started.

?

Thank You,
Bill Lane
