Little Thing Called Love

Love this song.

I didn¡¯t know who Neil really was when this song came out, I began to learn about Neil in 1981, but that is another story.

Not sure when I first heard this song, but I¡¯ve always liked it. To me it sounds like a Beatles song that would have Ringo singing lead, it is just fun.

I played it for my wife this morning and her comment was, ¡®That¡¯s Neil? Sounds so happy!¡¯

I agree.

Note the acoustic parts at the end of the chorus were borrowed for Harvest Moon many years later.

1980 I was 16 and learning to love life, making a bit of money and doing things I wanted to do, like riding the bus and trains around the San Francisco peninsula for fun, just enjoying the sights.

Spent the summer in Idaho and loved it. We bought a farm and moved here 8 years later.

I've loved a Little Thing Called Love (and Wonderin') forever, it seems. I have played both at OPL/IRF and have included them in open mic sets, too! Enjoy.

Peace and love,

?Of course, I messed up the dates: this was 1983 on Trans, not 1980 and Hawks & Doves

Many more stories from 1983, but another time, I¡¯m headed to work¡

The version on Berlin has always been a real highlight for me.
