A work acquaintance (Carl) has been trying to find some unreleased/live
Laura Nyro music on the web. After some searching, he told me he had been
offered this "deal": $15 per disc ("that's because I don't have anything to
trade"), PLUS Carl has to send blanks to the highway robber (and possibly
even return postage!). (Think of this as Ebenezer's version of a B&P!)
Carl is still pondering whether to go for it.
I admit, I barely know who Laura Nyro is. And Carl and I aren't close
friends. However, he's a good guy, and I'm outraged by the "deal" he's been
offered. I'd like to surprise him with a few (2-4) discs. Does anyone have
any live or alternate Laura Nyro to trade or B&P? I've got a decent (not
huge) list of Richard Thompson, 60s/70s Dylan, the key early 70s Neil
things, 1970s Pink Floyd (a guilty pleasure!), plus some nice Van, Los
Lobos, Little Feat, Edie Brickell, etc., etc. to trade. I believe Carl has
all the official Laura Nyro -- so I'm sure he'd love whatever you Nyro fans
think is best.
