It seems I owe an apology to the Rust List for my
recent posts, but first I want to explain why I have
been sniping lately. In the last two weeks alone,
Diana Vance has posted the following:

And hell, she may just do a better job with that
interview than that nigger faggot bastard that almost

Those terms upset you, huh? They shock you. But the
dismissal of 50% of the human population should they
dare displease you by not fitting into (pun intended)
some ideal imposed by a dick-waving shit for brains is
acceptable? That some blowhard pseudo cowardly writer
is offended by sagging tits and thinks that announcing
such would make interesting fodder is acceptable. Then
why not other forms of bigotry? Did I perhaps cross a

Yet, announcing to the world that some woman does not

is often given as reason to dismiss her completely

I know it's too early for ROTM nominations. But I
really think that the mentally handicapped should be
acknowledged. And just like the Olympics and their
counterpart the Special Olympics I suggest that Rust
accommodate likewise. May I nominate Bill and should

honor of personally awarding him the boot up his ass

attempting to reconcile a negative thread:

In addition, she has told me offline that Robert Young
and I are the same person and that mira, Norma Jean,
and Neils Girl 13 are the same person. As far as I
know, none of us has any dislike for our supposed
alter-egos, but its pretty irresponsible to represent
herself as a long-time Rustie while dispensing these
facts to others on the list. In addition, she sends
such mean-spirited letters to me offline that I now
automatically hit delete whenever I see her addy in my
inbox.
I am here in the Rust community because its populated
by some of the nicest, most generous people Ive come
in contact with on the net. We get to talk about Neil
every day with like-minded people. In addition, I've
had some wonderful conversations with Rusties offline.
Of course, the trading here is the best I've been
around. So, I usually try to keep my posts positive or
try to reconcile possible negative situations. When it
comes to flame wars, I usually follow this rule:
Never wrestle in the mud with a pig; you both get
dirty and the pig likes it.
In the case of Diana Vance, I have violated my own
rule. The reason behind this behavior is that many of
us who have been flamed by Diana happen to know each
other from the list. Some of them are people I've had
very fulfilling conversations with. In addition, the
fact that I have a sister who is learning disabled and
sometimes faces more challenges in a day than most of
us do in a lifetime probably caused me to take more
exception to the Mentally Handicapped/Special Olympics
post than I could have. Anyway, I figured that if
enough of us try humorous one-liners at Dianas
expense every time she flames somebody, that we may
frustrate her from the sheer amount of time it would
take to answer them all, not to mention her aversion
to humor, especially at her expense. Of course, I
miscalculated the sheer joy that Diana gets from this
and inadvertently contributed to the very thing I was
trying to combat- the glut of negativity on the list.
So, I humbly apologize for contributing to the
negativity on the list, including that contained in
this post. In the future, I will try to be more
positive about posts to which I take exception. If
anybody has any suggestions as to how I can achieve my
goal of decreasing the recent glut of negativity here
instead of contributing to it, besides the obvious
dont make posts like this one, please contact me
offline.
