What a great thread, Sharry!
Well, I am only 20 years old, but I seem to have a lot of crushes on
musicians when they were young. For example, Neil Young circa the 60's and
70's. Something about that hippie look of long hair, chops and the sort of
intense brooding artist thing, I suppose. To be fair, I think Neil is still
a very handsome guy, age has treated him well.
I also currently have a thing for Van Morrison before he, ah, aged. Van in
the late 60's and early 70's. Again, the sort of odd and extremely intense
thing gets me everytime. Besides, Moondance in the sexiest album ever in my
humble opinion. Top that with a sort of Irish mysticism and accent (when he
speaks) and you have one hunka burnin-love!
More recent crushes include Fran Healy of the band Travis (I spoke to him
about acoustic guitars outside of a gig a few years back, what a gorgeous
Scottish accent, too!), and a local band Townhall (townhallmusic.com), who I
interviewed for our local rock magazine, Origivation is chock full of
attractive and talented men. Incidentially, they are also nice guys and
their music is funky as hell.
All right, I think I have gushed enough. Take care all.
