ABD2K was an eye?opener for me.?
Who knew there was such a large trove of unreleased songs then?? I so much appreciated these 5 CDs and say thanks once more time to all those responsible. Mike?
Here’s the Hyperrust rap on the original cassette version from a few years earlier:
“
Archives Be DamnedThe Rust List Version of
Neil's Long Awaited Archives
In early 1995, long-time-Rusty Steve Peck got tired of waiting for Neil to get back to work on his archives.?(Neil has some nerve, being distracted with making us NEW albums every year! :-)?So he decided?"Archives be damned! We'll do it ourselves!"He searched his tape collection and compiled a list of unreleased songs. It was long enough to fill three 90 minute tapes! He put out calls for better copies of some of the songs that he had that he felt weren't good enough. Eventually he got the best that he could find. Most were just fine. Others had no better versions available, and so are included on the ABD tapes in their "ragged glory".?
While Steve put the tapes together, newer-Rustywent to work on his Mac and came up with some outta-sight J-cards for them, colorful enough to induce acid-flashbacks... :-)?
Tape trees were then run to distribute the ABD tapes across the Rust world,?FREE OF CHARGE?(other than blank tape and mailing costs) to any Rusty who wished to join the tree.”
