I live out in farm country, have cornfields in the back yard side yard and
across the street. It is beautiful this time of year. Some of my farmer
friends think Neil is full of shit, they say that if all the factory farms
closed up today we would starve in a week I was sitting at a Burger King with
a friend where you could see the inter state from the window, my friend said
what do you see, I said mostly big trucks. He said if those trucks all
stopped running the food stores would have nothing but empty shelves. If
Kroger has no food my family starves, we have a problem that I think cannot
be fixed. My dad was a farmer when he was a kid and I used to spend some time
in the summer there. Granny would cut a chickens head off or pick up her shot
gun and bring back a rabbit, pick some vegetables and make the butter and it
was kind of neat, but granny could only feed us and a few neighbors. I am all
for the family farmers and healthy food but i need my chicken nuggets to.
