And I'm glad that it's *mine* also, Mira. The day started out OK.
There was a woodpecker ratt-a-tatt-tatting on the trunk of the apple
tree and Courtney's cat was watching him out of her window and I was
watching him out of my kitchen window. Courtney's in-laws are camped
in her yard. I finished up the micro-waveable Kraft chilli and
lasagne with beef left over from the Farm Aid roadtrip, so it'll be
something fancier tonight, maybe the two-way recipe and a brick of
neopolitan ice-cream sliced up for dessert and I'll have the whole
gang over for dessert.
I arrived at work showing the after-effects of the Farm Aid road-trip
yesterday, started the day by knocking over my coffee, so, later in
the day, the guys told me to go home early and they'd finish up.
Imagine, a mere 22-mile road-trip and a few light beers, and I was
dragging my butt around like an over-of-hill 53 year-old ;>)
Today, I'll get some cd's out of the library: James Taylor, Leean
Rymes, and Bruce Springteen so I can listen to something other than
my current fave (Katy Moffatt).

Special Tx to Deb and Randy for snapping the photo of Allison & Kid
Rock and sending it my way. (The whole Farm Aid thing turned out not-
bad, seeing as how I saw three Neil songs, his speech and the Finale
songs plus I have a photo of Allison wearing a red T-shirt similar to
Neil's.) I'm gonna wear my red CP Rail T-shirt today, maybe even
phone and see if there's an opening for a trail ride, go have a look
at the Native pictographs on the rock-cliff at Texas Point, the West
Arm of Christina Lake. There's an old, abandoned orchard right there
too, proof that the Natives were, indeed, the original farmers in
North America and are worthy of a prime spot on the Farm Aid stage.

Ramble, ramble, ramble.
