I didn't know either. Talking to Rewrite between sets, she said she saw
Mickey backstage. My response was "who the f is mickey raphael?" Deb said
he's been known to play harp with Neil, and probably would tonight, and lo,
out came Mickey for "Mother Earth..."

Neil, loose willie on your set..... PLEASE....<

I don't know what kind of mix CMT broadcast, but live, Willie's licks were
sublime, in tune, and perfectly fitting. Personally, seeing two greats on
stage the likes of Neil and Willie put a tear in my eye... I just KNEW i was
in the presence of greatness in music. I'll never forget seeing them
together for those two songs. My .02, Willie, Neil, yunz guys need to play
together more often....

i'm beginning to think he should lose micky rapheal (sp?) too.....
Once again, CMT's mix may have been different than the house mix. What I
heard at the venue (and which came through clearly on the dat) was a very low
key talented fill-in from Mickey. I need to find out what kind of harp he
used on 'Goldrush...' thing sounded exquisite. Mickey and Willie, imo,
turned a 'standard' Neil set into something unique, multiplying exponentially
the talent of the individuals.

I don't know what show y'all were watching. Willie was stellar with Neil.
Willie's too professional to walk out and try to overpower another
performer's set. Hardly knew he was there. And when he did play 'up front'
(sound wise), it blended well with Neil. That's what I heard anyway.

Yup.

Very grateful that the FA folks selected Star Lake for this year's show.
Factory Farms are rapidly expanding in Western Pennsylvania , and area that's
traditionally belonged to family farms that provide dairy, beef, hogs, and
grain. Hopefully those attending picked up enough information to begin
researching what's happening in their backyards. In Central Ohio, factory
farms have come under public scrutiny for polluting local watersheds, causing
unbelievable insect infestations, and spreading disease to local inhabitants.
And that's not counting what kind of shit they're putting into the animals
pre-slaughter.

Time for me to start researching....

randy
i take MY orders from fools

PS... Did I mention that Willie was simply wonderful with Neil last night?

PPS... Willie's set after CMT signed off was fantastic. First time I'd seen
him since 1977. The man is immortal it seems... I just love him....
