I just deleted the MS sound system and rebooted and had Windlows find new
hardware. That seems to work, but has dropouts...older CD-ROM drive (4 years
old) tried disconnecting the direct digital audio but then no sound...ah shit
at least it works and definately is better than with the old motherboard. Now
the dropouts are much less freqent and seems to happen less now than just a
few minutes ago, though some clicking is still present, yet getting less
frequent also...Just got to pretend it's an old vinyl record...:-) Will
check out MS website for perhaps some fixes
