This is beautiful, but I really loved the original concept... we'd be able to hit Play and hear everything that Neil Young did during a specific period. In addition to the missing album tracks, I hadn't realized "Falcon Lake" was omitted 'til I read it here this morning. That's such a cool unreleased track, and in perfect sound quality - the ultimate box set track! My best guess is that there are plans (or at least hopes) for Blu-Ray releases of all of Neil's original LPs and the Buffalo Springfield box set and they (or Warner Brothers) think that a truly complete box set will guarantee that they won't sell.
After re-reading the description of the different Archives versions, I wonder if the missing album tracks will be the "hidden tracks" on the DVD and blu ray versions? It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
