After several weeks of success the Bluetooth connectivity with my iPhone stopped. I had been on FW 1.1 and decided to try the latest firmware (1.9?). After successfully flashing the device still no Bluetooth connectivity. Any ideas? I miss the use of the Antscope features in the field. Thanks Randy N4TDT

Check Coax Stick 230

Hello and newbie question, I have a Stick 230: Can I take just a measurement of a run of coax without the antenna on the other end in order to determine if the coax is good ? Besides checking the SWR on the antenna, is there a proper way to check the coax as well as jumper coax using the Stick 230 ? Thank you. HNY 73 Juan TG9AJR

AA-230 freezing up

my rig expert AA-230 antenna analyzer is having issues and I can¡¯t seem to find any other advice on the internet,or company website. Using it to check SWR it will suddenly give a high reading and none of the functions will work even the power button,essentially ¡° freezing¡± ,the only way to remedy the machine is to remove one of the batteries and restart,and this can go on for 3 or more times before getting a decent reading. This is the second unit I have had with the same issue,I returned the first one for a new one within a couple weeks because of the same issue,but this one seems to have the same flaw, but if I had 2 units with the same flaw you would think others are having the same issue. Any help would be appreciated.

A little help please. Everybody's advice is usually to read the manual. That's what I want to do. I know the manual for Antscope is under the help tab, however I can't find it for Antscope2 either in the software or on RigExpert's website. Thanks in advance.

Using RigExpert Flash Tool with Mac to Update AA-1400 Firmware
For Alex and other Mac users - I've downloaded and installed the latest Mac Flash Tool and connected my AA-1400...the tool sees the analyzer but doesn't recognize the FW update (.exe) file. Is there a different FW file we're supposed to use on the Mac platform or maybe I'm doing something wrong...didn't find instructions so if I'm missing them apologize in advance. Problem: Two year old RigExpert Stick 230 is not detected by antscope android Hardware: Rigexpert Stick 230 FW: 1.10 Samsung S20 running android version 12 History: I purchased my stick 230 about 2 years ago. From the beginning I had difficulty connecting to Bluetooth. When I ran antscope, it would just search and not find the device. After searching the the internet, I found a post somewhere where the user had a similar problem. He solved the problem by changing some power saving mode. I did the same and the stick was now discovered by bluetooth and antscope worked, although it was plagued by the timing out issue. Now, I had not used the stick for some time and the battery ran down to dead. I charge the unit and it works well and connects to my computer with a USB and antscope2 works well. When the battery ran down, the stick went back to factory settings indicated that my ITU reset to factory default of region 1 from region 2 that I set it for. Now, when I run the stick, I see that the bluetooth indicator on the stick is on also bluetooth is on in the setting menu. When I run antscope, it does not find the stick. It is a TI-5000, got it from your distributor in Norway. I will try to explain what I have done. 1. installed drivers 2. I also have a "Standard" and a TI-5, they works great. Using Windows 10 Pro 21H2 Tranceivers are Icom 7600 and 7800 Some screenshots are attached. I do not know what to do now..... AFSK are working with no problem, it's the FSK mode (RTTY) that make problems to me. It sounds normal in fsk but no decode in the other end. Dear All, I am a happy user of the Stick. When I got it in June '22 I was able to connect it successfully to my iphone. But at some point this did not connect anymore as some of my fellow HAMs already reported. Now I tried upgrading the Firmware to 1.10. No change. I also tried: Reinstalling the IOS Software, resetting the stick, rebooting the Phone (SE II). Serial Number is 02385. Any thougts or suggestions? Thanks Thomas

AA600 calibration discrepancy

hello, i have noticed that the calibration does not seem to be "global" on the aa600. For instance, if I calibrate The #5 graph and use the F1 to read it , all is fine. However, if the "ALL" function" is selected, the result seems to be uncalibrated and does not agree with the graph. The SWR function does not agree with the calibrated F1 readout either. Is there a firmware update to fix this?

A-55 Zoom Firmware Revision.

Hopefully something simple, just got myself a AA-55 Zoon to go with my AA-600 which I do not use because it is not as easy as the AA-55 Zoom. Anyway, what I would like to know is: Is there a way to slow down the speed that the AA-55 Zoom boots so that I can read which version of Firmware is installed on it? James

RigExpert Stick 230 bluetooth doesn't connect

Problem: Antscope is unable to connect via via bluetooth to Rigexpert stick 230 Hardware: RigExpert Stick 230 FW Ver. 1.10 Samsung S20 runing android 12 I purchased my Rigexpert stick 230 about 18 months ago. Originally it wound never connect to my phone but after searching the internet I found a post about changing some setting on the stick (maybe power saving) that finally allowed my phone to connect. For the last year the bluetooth worked pretty well. I did have timing out issues but I could live with it. Two weeks ago, the sticks battery ran down due to my error and it reset. I know that because the ITU region went to region 1 when I had it set for region 2. It now does not connect. I do see that the bluetooth symbol on the stick is on and it is on in menu 1. Antscope just searches and does not find the stick. Is there some other way to pair the device? The stick does work well with antscope 2 via a USB cable to my computer Any suggestions are welcome. Problem of new user updating FW of Stick 230 Solved
Sometimes the easiest solution isn't the obvious. The factory cable appeared to be of excellent quality. The Stick 230 screen indicated charging and USB connection on connecting the supplied cable. I purchased a new cable and now the update works correctly. Something is defective with the factory cable. Also found that 1.10 is the current FW.

Problem with firmware update

I have a AA650ZOOM, I have downloaded the latest updater version 1.5.19 I ran this updater and connected the 650 via the USB and powered it on. I clicked Next but an error message popped up saying, Can not set the device in boot mode. I have done a full reset via the menu selection in the Setup area but still have this error message. The unit is on version 1.7. The current version I have downloaded is ver 1.9 from their site and I am trying to update to this version. I have tried 3 different USB cables but the same error pops up. I downloaded the flash tool on a different PC but again the same error appears. AntScope2 connects to the 650 on both computers via USB. I also tried the previous flash tool version but had the same error. I have updated this before with no problems and have tried removing the batteries to have it run from the USB connection only but no go same error. The unit works just fine otherwise. Any Ideas? I have an AA-230 Zoom on firmware v1.117. I'm trying to decide if I should flash it or not. I think my current version is pretty old, but when it comes to firmware (or PC BIOS) I usually err on the side of "If it isn't broken, don't fix it". Problem of new user updating FW of Stick 230
I want to upgrade FW from present 1.10. I downloaded Flash tool v1.5.19. Ran the program and the RigExpert Flash Tool (v 1.5.19) screen comes up. I power on the Stick 230 and connect the factory cable to USB. USB connection is shown on the screen. Then nothing happens. The NEXT box is greyed out. I had Flash Tool 1.5.17 previously downloaded and tried that with the same result. Some time ago I had run the older Flash Tool and there was no update available at that time and it did work. Obviously, I'm making some basic error.
