Problem:??Two year old RigExpert Stick 230 is not detected by antscope android
Hardware:??Rigexpert Stick 230? FW: 1.10
? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Samsung S20 running android version 12

History:??I purchased my stick 230 about 2 years ago.? From the beginning I had difficulty connecting to Bluetooth.? When I ran antscope, it would just search and not find the device.? After searching the the internet, I found a post somewhere where the user had a similar problem.? He solved the problem by changing some power saving mode.? I did the same and the stick was now discovered by bluetooth and antscope worked, although it was plagued by the timing out issue.

Now, I had not used the stick for some time and the battery ran down to dead.? I charge the unit and it works well and connects to my computer with a USB and antscope2 works well.? When the battery ran down, the stick went back to factory settings indicated that my ITU reset to factory default of region 1 from region 2 that I set it for.

Now, when I run the stick, I see that the bluetooth indicator on the stick is on also bluetooth is on in the setting menu.? When I run antscope, it does not find the stick.

Any suggestions would be helpful

Hi Peter,

I had the 230 Stick but git the Pro later to handle 70cm. Here’s what I’d suggest. Use a PC to connect via usb cable supplied with the Stick. Just reflash the latest firmware from the RE website for that model. Their software for doing this works via the Internet very smoothly. Yiu should be able to change the settings page to the correct Region and so forth.

See if this helps you get the BT connection to your Android device again.

I too had problems with the Stick 230 connecting over Bluetooth. I find that I have to activate "Location" on my Android phone and Tablet (both Samsung devices) for the connection to work. The bluetooth connection problem re-appears if I subsequently disable "Location" on the phone/tablet.

Well, the Gods looked favorably on me today.? My carrier pushed out android V13 to my phone last night as well as the rigexpert team released a new version of antscope for android.? One or the other or both fixed my connectivity problems.
