I am unable to connect using Bluetooth with my Samsung Galaxy A52

When I first started to attempt to connect I noted the Battery Icon on the AA-230 was pulsing from full to about 1/2 power. Sure enough the AAA batteries measured 1.0V under power on. I replaced with fresh batteries.
I see the typical Bluetooth Icon at the top of the AA-230 Screen.
The app just spins attempting to connect. I frequently see an error screen that says:
