¿ªÔÆÌåÓýAlex, Maybe I am using the wrong words. I wound a few coils on ferrite cores based on literature. What I would like to do is see if they measure similarly to the literature before I install them. These are common mode chokes. The literature refers the value as choking impedance Rs in ohms at Frequency. Is there a way to do this with the AA-230 Zoom? I have attached a sample picture of what I tried to do. ? 73, N2TK, Tony ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Alex RigExpert via groups.io

Frequency set to 1800 KHZ.I am getting strange readings.? As an example, chokes wound with a pair of#75 ferrite cores with 21 turns that should read 13K read Z - 2.3k and R -292 ohms.Am I doing something wrong (the usual case) or maybe the AA-230 isn'tdesigned to do this? Thanks for any feedbackN2TK, Tony?????? |
