Weather Station Feeding APRS 5
I am looking for recommendations for a reasonably priced weather station that links to the Pi and can then feed the data to the APRS Beacon running on the same Pi. Thank you in advance. Ed, KD9FRQ

Auto run a program 4
I have a Raspberry Pi sitting on a shelf thinking about the weather. Every so often, it generates a web page, which I can get to from anywhere. Typically, I manage it remotely as there is no monitor or keyboard. One day, I plugged in a monitor and when I rebooted, it auto logged in the user pi and showed me its desktop. Great I thought, now I only need it to auto run lynx which will point at my weather web page. There in lies the problem, how to run lynx and show a web page. Keeping it from going to sleep and blanking the display is fairly easy, but so far, getting it to run lynx is a headache. Any thoughts? -- Patrick

73Linux on Evolve PC Cony not displaying WiFi address 8
I fired up my Evolve laptop and noticed that Conky is not showing a IP address for the wireless network. A ifconfig shows the WiFi network name as wlx2cd26b05d5c0 and the .conkyrc entry shows the name to display as wlx14ebb6a96ce9 So the Linux name has changed and Conky is holding on to an old name. I don't see a Conky preference entry or any way to update this. I have patched the kernel to let the internal WiFi to work and it is working. Any help? Thanks

Raspberry pi & TNC-Pi9k running aprx audio issue #linux #raspberrypi #tnc #aprs
HI! Here is my setup that I¡¯m working on at the moment and really struggling with the decoding of beacon. Raspberry Pi with TNC-Pi9k installed and a Baofeng UV5R radio for broadcast and listening with DIY cable. So far I¡¯m sucessful with transmitting a beacon, but decoding what is coming in is failure so far, I decode one in 2000 randomly. The radio receives, the tnc board light up when receiving, but the nothing in the aprs software (aprx). Played with radio volume, played with the rx setting, but no avail so far, anyone with some pointers would be great.

Sound config question using RPi4 using WSJTX and Icom IC-7100 5 #hampi #raspberrypi #ft8 #hardware #linux
All... I'm trying to figure out the sound configuration on my setup. I am running an RPi 4 with 4GB RAM. It is updated and upgraded to all the latest versions of everything as of today. I am running the latest version of WSJT-X (ran update and the version shows as 2.5.3 - lower than the Windows version which is 2.6.1) I may need to be aided in updating that to 2.6.1 if the Linux version is that high? If there is a higher version available, then sudo apt update/upgrade doesn't update it. The IC-7100 is up to date regarding firmware. I am using the USB interface and the CI-V interface from the IC-7100 to the RPi. The current config allows for a successful "Test CAT" and "Test PTT." I have tried a couple of selections from the following list for the Audio Tab input anc output; first set both to "Pulse" - no joy. So I tried default for both - no joy. So before I spend hours trying every selection - does anyone know how to determine what the IC-7100 USB connections show up as in this OS? Thanks ahead of time to all who might help! 73 Dennis KK0DJ

CQRLOG on RPi 400 - Need Help 3
I finally got my new QRP Labs QCX+ radio to communicate with FLRIG on my RPi 400 - had to use a Serial-->USB converter instead of the RPi GPIO. Anyway, FLRIG now follows the radio frequency perfectly. But, I can't seem to get CQRLOG to pull in the right frequency from FLRIG. I've set CQRLOG to use 4-FLRIG but the frequency field remains unchanged. Anyone else running CQRLOG on their RPi and FLRIG for radio control? Thanks, Jim / K7TXA

Getting a DRA-30 to work with Pi, PAT, Direwolf 13
I am trying to get a DRA-30 soundcard/ radio adapter working on 2M VHF Packet as a Winlink station. I have previously used a Raspberry Pi and a Byonics TT4 TNC and a Yaesu FT1 radio successfully. I want to explore using other devices to connect, and don't want to get a Signalink so I have the flexibility to go faster than 1200 baud in the future. I have a Raspberry Pi with PAT as the Winlink client and Direwolf as the software TNC. I connected the DRA-30 to the Raspberry Pi using the supplied USB cable, and connected the radio, a Yaesu FT1, using a cable that I used successfully to connect the FT1 to a Byonics TT4 TNC. It has a resistor connecting pins 1 and 3 to enable PTT. I installed Direwolf with the CM108 GPIO PTT support to enable it to activate the PTT. When I power up the station, I see a blue LED and a blinking green LED on the DRA-30. When I try to connect from PAT through Direwolf to the DRA-30 and the radio, using the ax.25 transport, I see a delay of perhaps 5 seconds, then I see the red LED flash and the transmit light on the radio flash, but get an error message from PAT "unable to establish connection to remote: network is unreachable." The blue LED goes off and the green LED now is on and no longer blinking. The Direwolf log shows: Invalid transmit channel 8 from KISS client app. <<< Data frame from KISS client application, port 8, total length = 18 000: 80 82 82 6c 84 88 40 f4 82 82 6c 84 88 40 61 3f [email protected]..@a? 010: a4 1b .. PI Teensy TNC version 2 jumpers 6
Looking for help on my PI Teensy TNC version 2 settings for the Raspberry hat. The Teensy 3.6 has been flashed, gives me the ok, the led's cycle at startup, but i can't communicate with get &set params from the Raspberry PI. It keeps trying. This board has a header of four (JP3 and JP4), and my question is, how do I set the jumpers on JP3 and JP4. See the attached picture. Any help is much appreciated. Erik, PA0ESH

Can I program Teensy when connected to Pi 6
I had been struggling with getting the Pi and TNC Pi-9k6 (Teensy 3.6) to talk with each other. I have researched this quite a bit and tried every combination I could find. BTW, I did enable serial ports on the Pi and they are listed, but they would not connect. In desperation, I tried re-flashing the Teensy 3.6. I did it when it was in circuit with the Pi. I think that I may have completely stopped it from working by doing this. Is it possible to do this or am I just reduced to buying a new Teensy? I will remove the Teensy from the board to re-flash or to replace it with new board. Any advice will be appreciated. -- Alan7114p K6ZY

3.5 inch display 8
A couple of years back I picked up one of these displays and plugged it into my RPI. After some minor twiddling, I got it to run a 24 hour 2 line clock showing local and UST time. Works great and just sits there on my shelf telling me the time. On the other hand, I can't remote into it with putty. If I power down, remove display and power up. Remote login with putty is just fine. Before I burn a new SD card and redo everything, thought I would ask here as to a fix. -- Patrick
