Hi all.

I have been hoping that someone would have, by now, gotten VARA HF to work with PiGate.

I have not seen any reference to this.? Perhaps I missed it or perhaps no one has worked on it.

Does anyone have any information on getting VARA HF to work with PiGate?

Hi Dan,

I can not get VARA HF to work on any program on my PI 5. VARA will receive ok but will shut off when commanded to Transmit. VARA did work in the past, I think a System update broke something.

The pigate project was discontinued some time ago and I confirmed it's over with Mark back on 2/19/25:

?? I've stopped any further development and the web site is closed. ?? --

I don't know what the licensing terms were with Mark's PIGate code but unless someone is willing to take over it's development and it's legal/blessed to do so, it would be best to move on to some other solution.? At this time, I'm not aware of any complete alternatives that did what PiGate (client) and the PiGate RMS (server).
