Hi,
These comments about scalping and spamming are completely out of order. I was initially interested but I think it may be unrealistic for him to expect "new" price for "used" equipment. But that is between him and the future buyer. If you don't want to pay his price then just move on. Lighten up.
Apparently he bought it and is disappointed - is trying to recover what he paid for it. A reasonable thing to do. I am not disappointed with mine and offered him a little less than he is hoping for (but not much) - close to what I originally paid for mine. I have withdrawn now but I still hope he can get his money back.

Profits? How? Trying to recoup what I paid for the stupid thing. Man, do I really need to explain that!
And how is this used? What defines used? It was new and still is new. How does a Rasp pi 4 get "USED like a slice of bread"? (scratches head)? You don't tell your friend "Oh that's my used Pi over there. Or I bought a NEW car when in fact it's REALLY used. It's NEW to me and will stay that way...

I think you all are forgetting that there are pesky humans on this list. Humans, please breath and relax and stop assuming mean intent. Now stop writing about mean intent. Ok. Now start ignoring the writing about mean intent. That’s better. Now we can have a decent conversation.
Does anybody have an idea of when the availability of the 8GB Raspberry PIs will improve, or what is blocking the availability?

Hi,
These comments about scalping and spamming are completely out of order.

But, I came here first to put a notice it's for sale. Here first to sell before anywhere else. Not what I expected from some "Intelligent folks" that cant read properly. I am trying to, is recoup what I paid for it. That's all. Lets not make this more complicated than it already is?

Can't use Ebay. To many parts scalping on the bay. SPAM? You got a LOT of nerve! Why has the list owner not told me himself? Not to sell or something to that regard? At least here like myself is honest and willing to work out a price _privately off-list and ship the damm thing out like I say I will!_

It was the line you used
“get me in the open market ($$$”
Sounds a lot like
how much money will this make me $$$ (put meme of Scrooge McDuck later)
That was specifically what we all read and thought what a nice fella he must be for the community helping out others and passing on his unused gear.
You then gifted us all with an angry email which I enjoyed so much I engaged with you more!
Good stuff! Dit dit

This is not what I expected back from this group. Saying all will make a profit or as some call it Scalping is simplying ridiculous to say the least!
I love how people read between the lines and somehow make up his/her own mind that I am trying to rip others off.
Re-read my post dumb asses!

The Pi foundation said the problem is (as you might expect), two fold. Lack of chips and lack of people to do the assembly. Last I saw they said March or early April might see new boards on the shelf, all things being equal (and the ship getting space to unload in California). Check their main page for updates.?

What was a simple post to sell to THIS list serve and I get flack over for it? ?Never again!
Profits? How? Trying to recoup what I paid for the stupid thing. Man, do I really need to explain that!
And how is this used? What defines used? It was new and still is new. How does a Rasp pi 4 get "USED like a slice of bread"? (scratches head) ?You don't tell your friend "Oh that's my used Pi over there. Or I bought a NEW car when in fact it's REALLY used. It's NEW to me and will stay that way...
Thanks for the offer Bill, 73

Nigel, Isn't this about the price of the 4 GB Raspberry Pi-4b? The new price of the 8 GB was more when I checked about 6 mo. ago. If you want the PS, cables, etc., it was a lot more.
