Tex, The instructions that Dave posted in his answer worked for me very well. Make sure that the DX-Spider Cluster server you configure is active. I am using dxc.wb3ffv.us:7300... not sure I set

How to configure Direwolf so DCD LED on PAUL board lites on traffic

Have a look at the manual page for chmod: man chmod cd <your hard drive device-name>; chmod -R 777 * will recursively descend the directory tree.
