There is no wait if you order from either , or newark-element 14. If one doesnt have them, the other will. The rpi's are no longer back ordered. The big guys like jameco, erc. Are now stocking these boards.

Problems with Midori and Google Home Page
Has anyone else experienced issues with Midori crashing when loading the Google home page following an update to the new 'image'?
All was well prior to the update but problems started immediately after.
A little research indicates a previous issue with such crashes, but these where not (it would seem related to the new image.

I got an email newletter from Farnell this morning in which they announced a nice little enclosure for the RPi.
It comes in 3 colors (clear, white, black) and compared to the others I've seen (Adafruit, etc) it is also cheap.

I just tested the configuration. That is DVRPTR connected to the Raspberry and the Icom 207.
Rebooting works fine now.

Hi all
For about two months now I have had my simplex node (GMSKRepeater) running on a stand-alone Raspberry PI, it's is brilliant.
As the node (MB6IRL) is 'attended only', all I have to do is turn it on, the whole thing starts-up automatically and connects to my preferred reflector, it's wireless so the only connections are the USB between radio/gmsk (Tait from Nothants) and the antenna and DC supply to the radio.
I don't need a keyboard or mouse connected or even a monitor, it sits in a small plastic box on top of the radio and that's it!

I've recently done the same for a friend of mine running a DVAP (mw0rbl) and it works well, all you have is a DVAP sat on top of a plastic box housing an R-PI and that's it! No keyboard, mouse or monitor.
Simply plug it in within range of your wifi router and you are up and running automatically with an absolute minimal setup.
To see the DVAP
I am no Linux expert and I am not doing anything clever here, I'm just using and arranging what other clever people have done before.
Software on both systems is the Jonathan Naylor packages.

Did you try running the resulting executable? Nothing has to be
configured and it will create some junk folders in /root. The reason
to do this is that the problem with compiling JNOS on some of the
embedded (ARM?) Linux distributions - like Unslung on the NSLU2 - is
that JNOS uses the setcontext/getcontext scheme and that wasn't
supported.
I could compile JNOS on the native NSLU2 environment but it wouldn't run...
I'm moving my NSLU2's (and pogoplug) to Debian in hope of getting
around this issue...

I jumped early as well, I bought my first one on ebay for $60.00 Adafruit just started to stock them. I have bought a LOT of her kits, components, and products, because of the cool projects she starts up. Thats what we get for being impatient cant wait to get a new toy to play with. :-)))) Ke6anm
