Gentlefolk,
I have managed to get VNC to talk to the Pi. It would be good to know if this is something I can do 'in the field' but also to go 'headless' - from the off. I am clued in about KC4ACK's build and would like to try it also. I don't like to screw up to the point where I am still up at some bonkers time of the night trying to set this all up. I am very grateful for the help I am getting. Really at this point I see the major challenges as...
- Can I do all of my operation in the field with the Pi? (sort of dumb question but...)
- Can I run the Pi headless at boot and do everything from my Android tablet?
- Can this all be achieved well away from a network or internet connection?
I suppose that those are the main issues at the moment. @Vic, thanks very much for the article. Is it ok with you to share it over on the GQRP group? I got very excited when I saw the mention of the uBITX. I have a V 3.0 that is dated March 2018. The 'building' is going to be a Winter project. I really would like to get that rig going though baby steps for the moment. Is it possible to use a screen like the one on your uBITX in the picture? It looks great. If it isn't,well not to worry. Your shack looks good. Thanks to
all again.

Tryg
