Because this digital conference has all kinds of neat things to share about various digital modes used in ham radio and many of those are incorporated on RaspberryPi platforms? Maybe because the OP thought people on this list would appreciate knowing about these kinds of events? Maybe because they figured if you were not interested, you'd just have the decency to hit the delete key and move on instead of anonymously whine about it.
