Yes.. but the D72 and the D74 should be similar enough in setting up
the Serial over BT connection

will read the write-up anyway. There is always awesome
information. Connecting the phone/tablet to the RPi using
Bluetooth will still be important.
I'm not sure what your goal is there.? Are you looking to control
applications and what not?? If so, don't do that via Bluetooth but
instead, use Wifi.
The
RPi and D2 will be connected via USB. USB on the D72 is the
Silicon Labs USB/RS232 IC.

Regardless, both approaches work fine for getting the TNC data
stream off a D74 and thus, I assume will work with the D72 as
well.
