Just to clarify, I downloaded the 64 bit version of Raspian not the Ham Pi 64 bit beta. I understand that 64 bits is not always better as you point out.

I did download Ham Pi and image it to a SD card and load it. It does contain WSJTX 2.5.3 which is fine for my testing purposes.

This is good. In a quick test it also supports rig control for the K4 but sound will take some tinkering.
