Hi John N0JDS. It's almost a year since your post, but I wanted you to know that your thread here saved the day. I had just about given up!
I've configured a Raspberry Pi 4 B and 400 for WSJT-X, and using my IC-7300 radio. I followed this order...
1) Fresh SD card install of RPi OS using Raspberry Pi Imager v1.4 on my Windows PC.
2) Edited the SD card with an SSH file and defining a wpa_supplicant.conf
file |
3) Installed AutoHotspot so I can, when I'm portable and without an internet connection, connect directly to the RPi via VNC. |
4) Installed GPS package to use UPS GPS module | instructions in details below video at
by Frank Romer. However I modified the following instruction as "false" as you shared, which fixed an ongoing problem I had with WSJT-X:
sudo pico /etc/default/gpsd
START_DAEMON="true"
±«³§µþ´¡±«°Õ°¿=¡°´Ú²¹±ô²õ±ð¡±
DEVICES="/dev/ttyACM0"
GPSD_OPTIONS="-n"
GPSD_SOCKET="/var/run/gpsd.sock"
#
5) Installed and configured WSJT-X. | I used the instructions from Karl-Heinz Krawczyk, DL1GKK at
