Don, If your talking about the Raspbian GUI, I don't do anything for that, and don't support it.? Everything is done though the web based admin pages. The PiGate is a setup and forget type device.? Once you do the initial setup, you can leave it alone and it will run continuously for however long you wish.? The only purpose is to send email to a Winlink RMS server, and you send and receive email for yourself by using an external email client.? Emergency email is sent for others through the web page designed for sending emergency email.? There is never a need to access it vie SSH or VNC or anything else. I would not mess with the settings in any of the files on the PiGate image.? They are all there specifically to work with the TNC-Pi2 or TNC-Pi9k6 and if you make changes, it may not work.? For instance if you get a TNC configured with the Raspberry PI headers then it has firmware loaded to interact with the PI using the GPIO pins set aside for serial communications (19200 baud btw).? If you get the "stand alone" TNC then the firmware loaded is for that specific configuration. |
