It's executable as-is.

"./balenaEtcher-1.5.100-x64.AppImage"

Takes a while to come up as it checks for updates and what not.

John:

?Are you replying to me 'Chuck' or to Bob K8EJI ?

If me, I did not end up with a .img file.

Here is the contents of folder HamPi v1.0 by W3DJS :

total 3.7G
4.0K CONTRIBUTE.TXT
3.7G HamPi_v1.0.img.xz
4.0K HamPi_v1.0.img.xz.sha256sum
4.0K HOW_TO_FLASH_IMAGE.TXT
4.0K LICENSE.TXT
456K README.docx
?12K README.TXT
4.0K UPGRADE_FROM_W3DJS_IMAGE.TXT

See, there is no '.img' file.

What is '.xz' ?
At 1st try, tar does not seem to recognize it.

Aside for author: Those spaces in the folder name are awkward for me;
