John,

WiFi and Bluetooth both use the 2.4Ghz frequency range so they don't pose a problem except for interfering with other WiFi or Bluetooth devices.? Get a WiFi frequency scanner for your laptop, tablet or cell phone (there are many available) and you can get a good picture of what is going on around you.

Some of the older portable telephones (not cellular) used the 2.4Ghz band also and they interfered with WiFi signals.? Also, some older microwave ovens also used these frequencies and were notorious in killing a WiFi channel, but only when someone was heating up coffee.

If you go to a university today and use a WiFi scanner, you'll see so many channels in use it is no wonder there is so much interference.

My main reason for wanting to use a Bluetooth mouse/keyboard is less wires on the desktop.
