Thanks for the suggestions Bob!? After trying most of them from the comfort of my desktop Linux Mint system, it appears Quisk will fit the bill.? I am still fiddling with the configuration on the Pi under Raspian, but I'll get it.? Biggest problem with most of the packages is convincing them there is no radio attached.
Your reference to the DSP toolkits is a good one and something I've looked at.? If I decide to bite the bullet and write my own application, that's where I'll start!
