Re: Offy drawings

I have made JPEG images of both? the 110 and 270 offies, from several drawings and a few measurements on ? ? ? ?? a few actual engines.? I stopped selling them decades ago.? Mayyme I should post them in the gallery.? Also fave 3-views of some vintage big car, strings and vintage midgets.

Hi James

?

Many thanks for such a quick response: Unfortunately I do not have a Bugatti, but its in a Fiat 508c chassis designed in the same year and built in the exact same month in 1939, with a locally made 2 seater body.?

?

Gordon White has confirmed the original sale to Duke Nalon and I have traced the engine to Clarence LaRue in 1949, with help from Dean Butler who is based less than an hour away from here.

?

I am trying to add to the file, so it would be great to know where you got it from, or fill in any other gaps,? goggshill@....?

I am sorry I do remember you now did you install it in your Bugatti? Photos would be great. I do not know the history on the engine but how exciting to hear it run.?
I moved to Speedway Indiana across from IMs.?

Hello James

Yes it would be for you - If you are the same James Long who moved from Grass Valley, near Nevada City, and sold an incomplete Offenhauser Midget engine 9 years - advertised as a coffee table.? It has been a long project but I would love to know any more about the history of that engine, and happy to share details of the current open wheel package- details below:
Best wishes
