TRA-921 service manual FAULTY PDF SCAN.

davidclong

It appears that there is a unique internet era problem:
At one time some kind soul scanned the service manual for the
TRA-921 manpack. This pdf scan may be seen on PA3ECT's websight.
The PDF file that was generated is not quiet complete ,or good
enough
to actually use to fix a broken TRA-921.

The text of the manual is fine.

The schematics as scaned are not of quite high enough resolution,
or complete, there about 5 pages of block digrams and schematics
missing.

The resolution is just short of being good enough to actually use...
is that a 3?,or a 5? or a 6?,or an 8?.The magnifing glass does not
quite get you there.

Once everyone can see that a manual has been scaned and converted to
a PDF file NO ONE will ever bother to go to the the great amount of work
to duplicate an existing scan ! even if that scan is actually
not quite good enough to actually use to fix the radio.

If some kind soul would sell me, or loan me an actual origional manual
I will scan it at high resolution (for the schematics, block diagrams,
and important circuit board component drawings.)and post it on the internet.

Thanks Dave, and interesting!

That was also true of two other documents from the same site, which had the same problems.
I just wondered if it is a ploy to generate business for a high priced CD??

Mind you I havent seen the highg priced CD!
