Hi Gordon.
I have this set and the original antenna mast.
I wanted to preserve the original mast, so I machined a simple adapter that allows the use of the ubiquitous AT271 American military pack set antenna.
It should not be difficult to find a friend with a lathe who can easily do this with a piece of brass rod stock.
AT271 masts are common, not expensive and a bit more rugged.
