Re: New Syncal Owner

Hello Marty,

Looking at the picture, the radio you have is a TRA-921 (Syncal).

You can find the technical manual here (in three parts : TRA921_tech_1of3, TRA921_tech_2of3, TRA921_tech_3of3) :

Nice little radio...

One design flaw in my opinion : the +V Bat available on the audio sockets is not controlled by the ON/OFF switch of the radio set.
As the loudspeaker has an internal audio amplifier, if you leave it connected to the radio it will draw your batteries flat in a few days...

Best regards / 73

The one I have is a Syncal but I haven't found another like it. I also haven't found this model in the files section. Maybe I can post a picture in the files section

Brought home an early Syncal with charger and looks like two speakers (I assume one is the microphone although they do look alike)
This one only covers through 7 MHZ.
Looking for a manual, what DC Voltage the battery pack provides to the set etc...I don't see a model number on it yet other that the Syncal
