I told the old lady next door to me that my antennas were UFO detectors.
Now she runs indoors when she sees me approaching.

This christmas im being good to myself! After messing with wire antennas and having mixed results..im in a spot where height is a problem i have a mast but the profile is still low. Only 24 feet and thats the top of the mast.. I have had different suggestions for antennas but im thinking of a vertical trap antenns for 40 and 80 meters as I can only run just one coax line and have it done..im asking the group for thier recommendation of a simple vertical trap antennsa with the radials in a fairly compact configuration so i dont frighten the nice little old lady who lives next door!
