That's what they told me. Maybe it has to do with the fact that they break off and are parallel to Z381. We are in Z381 so they are in a?group that broke off from us about 3000 BC. Maybe because it's so old and almost current with U106 they let them have their own group. I really don't know. But I like being able to have a place to put files which we wouldn't have had at FTDNA. I just signed up George Trapp for the U-106 Project, and I looked at the list of projects There are four SNP Groups ¡±below¡± U106, including the second from the bottom, the R-Z18_Subgroups Project, which specifically states ¡°The R-Z18 and Subgroups project is researching Z18, L257 and all other SNPs and clusters downstream of Z18. It is directly downstream of U106 and parallel to Z381.¡± ? I thought you said the reason we couldn¡¯t start our own R-S8661 Project at FTDNA, was because the U106 group had priority and did not allow groups to form ¡°downstream¡± of them, or else people would skip their project and go directly to the more specific.? Wonderful! We have a lot of new BigY results coming in. I know of two new A11376 results and we're waiting for the results of more. I hope we get some singletons matched.
