Re: S6881 revised tree

Here you go, Eric. You are really going to just upload a link to your data at FTDNA rather than the whole data file. It takes so long with the huge data file that the transfer fails so this works much better. Try the below. If you have any issues let me know. And if you need me to I can do it for you if it's too confusing but I'll need your password for your account. I don't keep the password and I've done this for a number of our members. Thanks for doing this and let me know if I can help further.

Here¡¯s how to upload your data to the Y-DNA Data Warehouse:

1)? Log into your FTDNA account.

2)? Go to the Big Y Results Page.

3)? Click the ¡°Download Raw Data¡± button.

4)? Right click (or hold down the Control key while clicking on a Mac) the "Download VCF" button. Note: left clicking downloads the file ¨C this is not what you want for the Data Warehouse. It is really too large to email.

5? From the menu choices choose ¡°Copy Link Address¡±

6)? Now open the Y-DNA Data Warehouse Upload Test Data form at:
? ??

7)? Paste the link you just copied into the ¡°Download URL¡± block near the bottom of the submission form.

8)? Fill out the rest of the form ¨C your email, testing lab is FTDNA, Kit #,? Test Type is Big Y, Human Reference Build = be sure it has hg38, Surname of Most Distant Known Ancestor, Year of Birth of this ancestor, Origin is where the ancestor was born.? If entering an origin for your ancestor, you can ¡°Check that the map pin corresponds to the correct region before submitting the form¡±.

9)? Click that you agree that the data can be used as per the data policy. The data policy is below the submission form.

10)? Click the blue Submit button

11)? You will receive a confirmation email that your data has been uploaded to the Y-DNA Data Warehouse
