Hello all you Region 11 All-STARs!? Looking forward to a wonderful weekend in Laughlin and we want to make sure everyone has a chance to do some singing!!? The schedule will include some STAR sessions that everyone can attend including:
Friday morning sectionals led by some R11 All-STAR volunteers!
Friday afternoon STAR review/rehearsal session!
A short performance by the STAR chorus for the Regional audience!
Check your schedule when it comes for more info (sectional rooms TBD, check with registration that morning), but for the Friday sessions we'll try to sing through ALL of the Regional STAR songs (available on the Region 11 website, password Starsinger), and
for the short performance we'll focus on Happy Together and It's My Song (with
Harmony Leads the Way thrown in if we can).? So I hope you join us for one or more of these STAR sessions, at least to review the STAR songs and do some
SINGING TOGETHER AT REGIONAL!!!
See you in Laughlin and let's bust some chords!!!
P.S.? There is no planned tag session so I'm attaching a few you can save/bring and sing around if you have 4 parts!? Enjoy!!

P.S. If I can wear my Awards Chair hat for a moment, only a few choruses gave their extra medals back at contest as per the little instructions in the bags. If you are not keeping all of the medals, please return them to me. Bring them to Summer Sizzler; I
will be at Harrah's all weekend. If you do not turn them in, no problem, but your chorus will be invoiced for the extras at our cost price. If you don't remember how many you're supposed to give back, I have that information. It's the number in the bag minus
the number on stage. So send me an email. If your chorus is not attending Summer Sizzler, please make other arrangements to get those medals back.
So far, we have 5 Novice and 5 Double quartets entered in Friday Night's competition!
If you were on the fence about giving this great opportunity a try, this is your sign. With a limit of 6 groups each this year, that's only one spot left in each...
Remember if you're sending in entry forms, please direct them to moonsuep@... if you don't get a reply from the Registrar email.?
Thank you to AHH, Verdugo, Lady Luck, Santa Monica, and Voices United for sharing your talents.

It is with sadness that Harmony Valley Chorus in Merced has decided to close our doors.? ?We have enjoyed singing together but it has been difficult to increase our membership.? The final decision came because of the raise in Region 11 assessment that we were notified in December.??
We have enjoyed being part of our community and may try to organize as a community chorus.
Everyone - I've had questions come in already - EACH CHORUS is responsible for paying the Region for the master photos...what they do with them from there is their own business. Individual members DO NOT need to pay the Region for the photo.
Invoices for your Regional Contest photos have been sent to the chapter treasurers (for choruses) and the quartet contact (for quartets). There are still several that have not been paid - please take care of this ASAP - otherwise you will not get the link to your photos.
