My wife and I have 2 of these, they work great, however due to covid we are not really utilizing them. I would be interested in selling them if anyone is interested. Ron wrote: -- Ron Watkins, AI7AK 602.743.5272

[QCECG] GMRS / Ham Call Sign Look Up Tool

I also like that you can simply type into your browser the URL directly, e.g. https://gmrs.app/?n2qoj. No need to go to the page first and then enter the call sign. I'm all about fewer keystrokes! QRZ.com is the same,e.g. https://www.qrz.com/db/N2QOJ Joe, N2QOJ

SPAM-LOW: [QueenCreekHams] Range????
2
NEVER pay any attention to milage figures when it comes to radios and antennas. They are created by non-technical marketing folks and made for lay people who know nothing about RF. 1. VHF & UHF propagation is virtually line of sight, somewhat limited by transmitted effective radiated power (transmitter power output + antenna gain). 2. The next limitation is receiver sensitivity / selectivity, intermod rejection, image rejection, cleanliness of the IF, etc, etc, etc. 3. Combine 1 & 2 and then add the main limitation, which is noise floor at the receiver antenna site. Noise created by nature (QRN) and noise created by man (QRM). QRN is static discharge and other atmospheric noises. QRM is from man made electrical and electronic devices, other near-by radio transmitters, etc, etc, etc. Doug WB7TUJ Outlook HS52

Range????
This seems to be based in reality for FRS/GMRS walkies. Probably valid for Ham Handhelds at 4 watts. Joe, N2QOJ
