Those are not the only two likely scenarios.

Some folks are telling how to best program your radio but let's figure out your problem by learning the basics of your UV-5R.

Have you looked at any of the settings I mentioned in my email to you of 5 days ago?

Answer these questions exactly so we can help you solve this issue:

Firstly, place radio in VFO mode by pressing orange VFO/MEM button. If you are in VFO mode, there will be no channel numbers displayed to the right of the frequencies.

Secondly, enter the numbers 449.325.

Thirdly, now check contents of menu locations.

What is the content/setting of Menu....

Number 0 -

Number 1 -

Number 7 -

Number 10 -

Number 11 -

Number 12 -

Number 13 -

Number 25 -

Number 26 -

After you report back, I'll tell you what the problem is and the fix.

By the way, the repeater that works best for me is the Ocotillo one (449.325 MHz PL 100). There are 2 nets that we have checked into. One every Wednesday at 7 PM local time & one on Saturday at 8 PM.

I downloaded a copy to my laptop, connected the USB cable and got ALL the memory channels filled. The Baofeng is hard to hand load.
