Yes, I used CHIRP along with downloads from repeaterbook to program the phone. IT does show the frequency shift and PL tones as being programmed, but it still not able to raise any contacts. Ron

I got a Baofeng UV-5R radio off Amazon, and have tried programming in the local repeaters, but while I can receive, I have not been able to get any reply to my attempts at broadcasting. I assume I don't have it setup correctly, and wondering if it's possible to hook-up with someone in the Gilbert area who can let me know what im doing wrong.
