Re: Epson P5370
Chris, thank you very much for this detail. I tried multiple time to install the p5370 with the InstallP5370=P900 before returning to this group to find what I was doing wrong. No problem at all once

Re: QTR-Create-ICC-RGB.exe
Without column headings the program tries to guess what each column of data is.
Its expecting "grayish" values for A and B ~ i.e. within -20 to +20, so misses calling it A and B.
Just put a header

Re: QTR-Create-ICC-RGB.exe
I just tried again using 51 Lab measurements (file attached), which is the same as I usually do. But again, QTR-Create-ICC RGB (version 2.7.9.0) produces what looks like a grayscale icc profile (out

Re: QTR-Create-ICC-RGB.exe
I only used only 16 Lab values, which apparently isn't enough for an icc. I
couldn't find any documentation regarding a minimum.

QTR-Create-ICC-RGB.exe
I use QTR-Create-ICC-RGB.exe to create icc's for soft proofing my alt process prints, and have been doing so for many years. After I do a calibration, I make a calibrated negative with a step table

Re: Setting up P900 for Direct to Plate methods using QTR
From what I can tell, platen gap isn’t all that critical - the plates and carriers are well below that thickness - 1.1mm I think. I believe this is just there in case the media is curled slightly

Re: Setting up P900 for Direct to Plate methods using QTR
Clay, 2.6 seems to be the max platen gap setting the 5370. Any thoughts on how to approximate your P900 DTP settings with this platen gap limitation?

Setting up P900 for Direct to Plate methods using QTR
Another PSA. I have wrestled with helping people set up their P900s for DTP use over the last couple of years. I think I have finally figured out a pretty solid workflow for getting this done. It has

Re: P800 - Only Black Inks Laying Down
Why do you think it is only laying down black inks? Do the negs look different from before? The color inks in the profile are minuscule and only there to make sure some ink is going down all the lines

Re: P800 - Only Black Inks Laying Down
I agree that permissions is a likely suspect.
By far the easiest and best way to repair permissions is to simply
re-run the Install-QTR package. This automatically corrects all the
permissions in

Re: P800 - Only Black Inks Laying Down
FWIW, when I run into stuff like this, I nuke (delete) all the .quad files for a particular printer in /Library/Printers/QTR/Quadtone and then do some spring cleaning in my installation folder to get

Every single one.

Hi Chris,
That was a glimmer of hope, as that is something I would have overlooked for sure. But, all the quads are "write & read".
Anything else? Uninstall again?
