Re: Printer Presents_Sonoma 14.5
Like a lot of other people, I found dedicating an old laptop just for printing works best. The only issue is that when newer printers come out, they may not work on pre silicon macs. Greg

Re: Printer Presents_Sonoma 14.5
Maybe a Class Action Lawsuit would raise enough bad publicity to get Apple to address the Presets / Colorsync issues and others. Apple use to be the Photographer friend and GOTO platform for any

Re: Printer Presents_Sonoma 14.5
Alan, Thanks for the clarification regarding Print Tool. I only use my older iMac as a stand-alone print station. I edit separately with a Mac Studio. And USB drives are my friend for shuttling

Re: Printer Presents_Sonoma 14.5
Print Tool is unfortunately not a solution here, it too is affected by the Apple presets issues. I bought Print Tool and QTR specifically hoping I could circumvent the issues, but no, Roy Harrington

Re: Printer Presents_Sonoma 14.5
Silvi, Like Alan mentioned I have an old iMac that I use as a print station (locked with Catalina and not connected to the Internet). Have you tried using the Print Tool stand alone app for printing

Re: Printer Presents_Sonoma 14.5
Epson Print Layout is a possible workaround. Printing from Capture One, PhotoShop or Lightroom on any Sonoma version (and I think same on Ventura) simply is broken. Not only presets but also

Re: Printer Presents_Sonoma 14.5
My experience is that if I leave the drop down at ¡°Default¡± it actually uses my last used settings. Counterintuitive but that¡¯s what I¡¯m seeing.

Re: Printer Presents_Sonoma 14.5
I have had periodic issues with this, and this smells like the issues I sometimes have with Adobe software (like photoshop) not being able to write preference files. The preferences are stored in

Re: Printer Presents_Sonoma 14.5
Thanks for the reference Michael. There is no real easy explanations as to a fix for the presets problem in any forums I have read. The latest and easiest explanations are on Tracey Valleu's blog but

Re: DTP on Epson P900
Hi Cheryl, I am using a P700 for DTP and have had the same issues. I¡¯ve had my printer over a year, the first half of the year everything printed fine, and suddenly the line began appearing and

Re: DTP on Epson P900
Hi Cheryl From what I've gathered (and it seems to be working, or improving) the P900 needs some time to "settle in". I followed some advice from various members in this group and printed a few

Re: DTP on Epson P900
I¡¯m having the same problem with my P900 - getting a deep gouge in the middle of the Toyota 93 plates. I bought my P900 in April and making plates worked well at first. Recently, I had to update

Hi Silvi, There has been a lot of discussion on this topic in the Epson Wide Format group on io. In case you do not have it, here is that link: /g/EpsonWideFormat

Printer Presents_Sonoma 14.5
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone out there has worked out how to save printer settings presets? I'm using the Epson Quad driver with Sonoma 14.5. I have tried to set up the presets as a 'custom' as well as

Re: Epson 3880 spitting out unprinted transparencies
Thanks all. I used a different curve and it worked. It was a corrupt quad file.

Yes I think he¡¯s right. I tried to reload the same quad curve I¡¯ve been using in QCDN and it wouldn¡¯t load. Another loaded just fine. So going to try and print with another curve and see how it

Re: Epson 3880 spitting out unprinted transparencies
My experience supports Roy¡¯s comment. One of the curves I made just ejects and cuts the film on my Epson P5000. It was a third curve created based on a first and second curve that work just fine.

Clay, I dedicated an older iMac running Catalina (via a clean install). It is connected to a P6K running Piezography Pro inks so it is not even connected to the Internet (so no way Epson can
