Re: Direct to plate
Ah got you. Please have a look at the attached screenshot. I created a
plate profile using the media installer. It is listed as a custom paper in
the list. So I guess this is the way to go and not

Re: Direct to plate
You can run a plate directly if it is big enough (11x14) and no you have to switch inks by choosing the paper type in the epson media installer.

Re: Dtp on epson3880
You need to install the epson media installer in order to change this. Epson thinks we are too dumb to change from photo black to matte black and so now you can only do it by choosing the paper type

not possible to send in the plate on its own? Apologies if this sounds

Re: Dtp on epson3880
Joe,
I had problems getting the P900 to recognize the "sled" that I was using
for the plates. I took clay harmon's workshop on dpt and he showed us the
use of a sled - using two pieces of 2X matte

Re: Direct to plate
OK sorted Greg. Thanks again! One last question if you don't mind. Is there
a need for a carrier sheet for the plate? I came across this somewhere.
thanks

Re: Direct to plate
Platen Gap is 4.5 and drying time is .5 You want the platen gap as wide as possible to avoid head strikes.

Thanks Greg! Much appreciated. Can you please tell me the value of the

Hi Joe,
You need to install the epson media installer. Copy the Fine Art Matte and change it to these settings.

Re: Dtp on epson3880
Hello Dave
Thank you for this useful info.
I have just started doing some DTP photogravures on an Epson P900. Any idea what the media setting (paper) should be on the QTR?
thanks and best

This has been an issue from day one, and as best as I can tell, it comes down to the app trying to update the graphs before it gets all the data.
I think I finally fixed it in a new total rewrite of
