ircddb repeater status = red
Simon Eatough
Hi?
I've just installed QnetGateway on a pi to replace a dead icom G2 Install that had ircddb. I've configured it for ircddb , and entered the correct login and password info for ircddb.? However I noticed that on the ZL2VH ircddb status page? the irc status is green but the both module B and C status is red, along with no lastheard info. The system communicates with the repeaters ok and I can link and unlink successfully. Wonder if anybody has any ideas. Should I be using openquadnet ? 73's Simon ZL2BRG |
开云体育Hi Simon, Your the first to connect an Icom stack to ircddb.net using QnetGateway, so I'm not sure what the problem is with the two modules. Are the frequencies and other data for the modules okay? I would be happy to provide a fix, if I knew what to do. Someone from ircddb.net needs to help and let us know how to get things green. I suspect I'm malforming or missing an IRC message to the IRC server. You can, of course, switch to rr.openquad.net. I think we more completely support routing, especially group routing. Of course if you have users that are callsign routing or repeater (zone) routing to nodes on ircddb.net, they won't be able to do this if you move to rr.openquad.net. Tom,Joe Thanks for the replying. Think I setup ircddb correctly. I copied the data from the old config.? Joe, the G2 PC died. The QnetGateway is on the same local network IP as the original G2 PC, so all the existing port forwarding I have setup should still be ok. Tom: is there a way to run both openquadnet and ircddb at the same time ?.? The other issue I can see users complaining about is the lack of a dashboard. Thanks for your help 73's Simon ZL2BRG |

开云体育Simon, ? QnetGateway does not support multiple ircDDB networks, so you would have to use one, or the other. ?The dashboard is something we have talked about before, and it may just end up in a future release, but no promises. ? If you wouldn’t mind, would you email me a copy of your qn.cfg file? You may omit the passwords and any other sensitive information, but I want to take a look at it to see if anything might stand out. My email is Colbypr at gmail dot com. ? 73,

开云体育Just to make it clear, this is for configuring Jonathan Naylor's ircDDBGateway, not QnetGateway. It was made clear to me in my discussions with the admins at
ircddb.net that they don't want clients simultaneously logged into
both ircddb.net and QuadNet. I'm not going to defend their
position, but I am going to respect it. Therefore both QnetGateway
and the SmartGroupServer does not support simultaneous logins. On 12/12/18 5:48 PM,

开云体育Hi Simon, I appreciate your comments. As stated elsewhere, I don't support simultaneous irc networks. I haven't spent much time thinking about a dashboard. There is a
branch that has a VERY minimal control dashboard, but nothing much
has happened with it since it was first pulled. If a full dashboard is important, I suggest you look at PiStar. You'll need to switch from MMDVM to DStarRepeater. From there you should be able to configure your Icom Stack. I'm not sure how recently Andy Taylor has updated ircDDBGateway,
but if it's relatively recent, you might also be able to connect
to multiple irc networks as Jonathan's newest ircDDBGateway
supports this. On 12/12/18 5:22 PM, Simon Eatough
