Qnlink has some problems

Hi everyone,

Thank you in advance.

I have installed the QnetGateway and it has worked very well.

Today I am installing new QnetGateway which is updated within 30 days ago.

But It has problems in qnLink process.

When booting and/or changing the gateway, qnLink says the gateway not found in gwy list.

But the gateway exists in gwy.txt.

Hi everyone,

The gateway file is gwys.txt, not gwy.txt. If you updated the gwys.txt file while qnlink was running, it won't automatically read the modified file. You need to send an "?????? F" to the gateway to load the gwys.txt file again.

From your screenshot, it looks like your linking to REF030 C okay.

You can send an F to refresh that file?!? And here I was restarting qnlink every time.?? Good to know!

On a side note, completely low priority feature request:? having some kind of second gwt.txt that takes precedence over the current one. Use case: ? I often use your qnadmin interface to pull the gateways from a source but it will override a manual entry I have, so I have to add it back in each time.?? If there could be a second, static, file that kind of overrides any duplicates in the gwy.txt that would be helpful for me, but only because I am lazy;?? Kind of like having something in your local hosts file that would override what is in DNS.

Thanks for all your work on this great program;

Rob,

That's easy. Done!
Please see the section on qnadmin in the CONFIGURE+INSTALL file for info on how this works. (Hint: put you own defs in My_Hosts.txt and then use qnadmin to build your gwys.txt file.)

I too have noticed the Not in list error.. Did not know a simple "F" will fix it though been using qnetadmin LS and IS that fixes it.

Thank,

I have not change any files for example gwys.txt by myself.

I attatch the image file.

After booting, I am changing the reflector from ref082c to xrf071c? by radio now.

Qnlink does not link to xrf071c, so I do unlink by radio.

Sometime when booting, qnlink does not to link the reflector setted in qnconfig.

?I think qnlink has the problems to read gateway file and change the reflector.

If you are absolutely sure XRF082 is in your gwys.txt file, then try this:

Send "?????? F" to your system. After link sees that URCALL, you should see a message in the qnlink log telling you how many gateways were loaded into the database.
Then try to link to XRF082C.

Yes, it is correct the gateway file is gwys.txt installed /usr/loca/etc.
But, qnLink shows the gateway not found in gwy list when reflector changing failed.

xrf071 should have an IP address of 211.60.41.185. If it does not, fix it. I just linked to xrf071c successfully.
