I'm trying to replace my floppy drive with one of the Gotek emulators. I think I've bought the right one (SFRM1MM44-U100K) and it installed OK. Just seems to give me 'illegal format disk' errors even though it looks to format the USB correctly and I can read the drive OK using recommended PC software (Virtual Floppy Explorer). Do I need to adjust jumpers? Anyone can point me to any help? Thanks, Ian

Hello, any more people here still using this software? I installed my registered version on a win10 PC, seemed to run nicely. But: taskmanager shows one CPU-core 100% occupied, when a midi-in is applied. Tried some modifications (mixer-mode off etc.), no change. Known problem? Any solution?

For those wondering how I did it, I converted all the old .hlp files - both those in the Files section and those supplied with XG-Gold - to .chm (Compiled HTML Help file) format via a program called HelpNDoc. These files are opened via the Microsoft HTML Help Executable (htmlhelp.exe).

The Java program ResQBank looks only for the lower-case suffix ".syx", not ".SYX". Short of recompilation (which I am not set up to do), the workaround is to rename the latter.

I have a registered copy of the XG/QS300 editor XG-Gold from the author Hans-Joachim Stulgies, who apparently cannot be reached anymore. AFAIK it is the only editor to split up 3- or -4- element QS300 voices across 2 parts as required by the DB50XG daughterboard (which a friend has), the SW60XG ISA card (which the same friend gave me and I ran under Windows 95 OSR2 but is probably now in landfill) and the MU10 tone generator (which I have running under Windows 7 SP1 64-bit). Other QS300 editing programs include XGC (which I tested under WIndows 98 32-bit but did not work under Windows 7 SP1 64-bit) and SWEDIT (untried under 64-bit) which you will find in the files section, and Mountain Utilities' XG Manager an alpha version of which was downloadable from https://mountainutilities.eu/xg but whose licence agreement specified I could not copy into the files section and whose execution was stopped by my antivirus program as it had no digital signature. There was also apparently a program QSEdit which I was unable to find on the web.
