More about TDR - some antenna analyzers such as my MFJ-269 have a distance to fault mode, which looks for impedance discontinuities. It works well, about a foot resolution. - VNAs can also do FDR

TDR is sort of like radar for a transmission line.? If you have a long coax from your shack across the house and up the tower, a TDR can be useful to figure out where the cable is kinked and causing
